My Prayer for You in 2018:

“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name.  I pray that out of His glorious riches, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!  Amen,” ~Ephesians 3:14-21

And I pray that you being rooted and established in Love may have Power together with all the Saints, to grasp how Wide and Long and High and Deep is the Love of Christ and to know this Love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled to the Measure of all the Fullness of God.     Wonderful words of assurance Lynn in our God of Love working in our lives, Thank you for sharing them, the road may be rocky but He carries us when needed. I will share with you soon Lynn how once again He did immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine and yes He did it for me today.

During this year Lynn I moved into a New Home and I’m very Thankful for God’s Provision, it is very Comfy and has good Security but I was missing the Children where I use to live, so I talked to God about it and the next day my Prayer was answered in a very different way than I expected (see link below ) Sadly the Mother of the Children I shared about in this Post was on Drugs and a few months later Physically abused me, thankfully I wasn’t seriously hurt, I just had mild Concussion and bruising but because the Children were also not being looked after properly and were in danger, I had to contact Child Safety. The Mother and Children no longer live in my Area but what comforts me greatly is the Children now know Jesus Loves them and will help them, good seeds were planted.

        But once again I was missing the Children, I have visited the ones from my Funday School were I use to live a few times now and to also give them Christmas gifts but it is a long way to go on the Scooter.

        I once again talked to God about it and today after going to the Dentist on the way home I visited a Pre -School close to where I now live and asked if the Children were allowed to Color In Pictures, they said that they were. It seems I was lied to and it is not banned by our Government’s Education Department as I was told today when I phoned them, only by a Committee in control of some of the Pre – Schools in Queensland but Religion is banned including Christianity in Pre- Schools or that was what I was also told, I’m going to phone them again on Monday to see if it is True.

        What is Amazing is that after talking to the Director of the Pre- School which led to me sharing about my Funday Schools etc, she asked if I would come and be Grannie Annie to the Children in her Pre- School, I will be reading them Stories and encouraging them to Sing and dance and yes helping them to Colour In too!

        God is so Good so Very, Very Good and He Loves us Greatly and much more than we can imagine, and His plans for us are very good not evil..

      2. Oh, Anne! What an extraordinary example of God’s love and grace in your life! I’m so glad He protected you when you sought to help but were attacked for it. And I’m thanking Him for His provision in your life…granting you the opportunity to read stories, help with song and dance and coloring in the preschool! How God loves you and all of us! He is indeed so very very good, as you say! I’m simply delighted to hear of His provision for you, His faithful and loving child. You truly are an inspiration. Paul’s prayer is really awesome and i love the part where it says “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” – This is really encouraging.   3. Oh my what a blessing. I love the part where it says then you can do immeasurably more than we can think or imagine by the power that works in US. I think we forget sometimes what Jesus has place within us when he gave us his holy spirit. There is enormous power within each one of us to pray for those around us. I hope we can each realize what God has entrusted to us and go out and make a difference.

  4. Amen, Lynn. As we continue through the 2018 year, our focus should be on getting closer to God as we continue to read His Word. For me, I too want 2018 to be the year that I renew and reestablish my prayer-life and spiritual life with God.

  5. Hi Lynn, I loved all of the verses you selected and I also marvel at the beauty and wisdom of the words that Paul utters. You can sense the understanding, devotion and love for God that Paul has. Can you imagine attending one of his “Bible Studies”? I am also mindful of how those who heard Paul weeped in Acts 20:37 when he told them he would not be seeing them anymore. It kind of strikes me of the loss that I felt when Nabeel Qureshi went to be with our Lord. Beautiful post Lynn, thank you!

    1. Oh, yes, Bruce! For Nabeel, it was wonderful, but the rest of us have lost an incredible and stalwart defender of the faith. And yes… I do imagine that those who sat under Paul’s teaching felt the same. I love Paul’s writings. Romans and Philippians are two books that I find myself turning to again and again. And of course, this prayer that I’ve included truly speaks my heart! Thank you for your thoughtful comment here! I love our blog “discussions”… you always give me so much to ponder.   6. As an unbeliever I was very proud of my imagination and artistic sense. After I got saved, I surrendered my imagination to Jesus Christ. Thank God for that! He has blessed me much beyond any thing I could have imagined in the past. I am now so humbled and grateful. My so called ‘great imagination’ could have been an hindrance and not an asset. I will worship God forever! To God alone be all the glory!

  7. Oh Lynn, I needed these wonderful Words this morning. It’s so easy to become overwhelmed with the instability around us in life. I was reminded of my dad reading them as my mom was dying and the renewed strength and joy and hope that came with them then as they do today. Thank you for your wisdom and understanding in reminding me where my focus and gratitude should lie. I love you, Deb

  11. Lynn, Our 12th Annual city-wide Mad Hot Tap Competition is today. 46 schools come together to dance and bring joy to 1000s of hearts. Of course something this glorious has to be the hand of God amd I have always viewed it as my ministry which means this work doesn’t happen without needing to remember to wear the Armor. This week, I’ve had a terrible attack that has stripped me of all joy and confidence. It’s the 3rd time in my 15 years of leadership and never a good place to be before you have to speak before 1000s of people (much less be a model of His unspeakable Joy. This post popped up in my feed first thing as I let Sam out. I read it as I waited and weeped. I know God is always refining me amd I must be honest about my failures to serve Him faithfully. So today, I will brush off my armor, and carry the powerful Words you have shared with me into this day. I will speak when all I want to do is hide, and Trust that He will provide. Thank you my dear and wonderful friend. And the painting is perfectly beautiful for my heavy heart. Love Deb

    1. Oh, Deb…I can’t imagine speaking before thousands after the kind of week that you have described. Speaking in front of large crowds isn’t easy even for the most extroverted, but to do so after the enemy has sought to strip us of confidence? I’m so very sorry… I wish I had read this earlier in the day. I would most certainly have prayed for you! I am praying now, though, that no matter what today’s outcome (and I believe you found tremendous success) that Abba is flooding your heart with His peace… that you are experiencing the nearness and love of God beyond all that you have previously known. You are a treasure, and I pray that you fully comprehend “how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” for you! I pray that you feel wrapped gently yet firmly in Abba’s arms, and that you especially feel that love tonight and in the coming week. I have read and visited the DanceWorks website, and I know beyond doubt, that it is no small thing to direct such a large and influential organization.   12. Thank you for great encouragement! The Lord is teaching me that He desires His children to continually be in prayer for one another. We are members one of another in Christ and what affects one of us has an affect on each of us. Lord he!p us to pray without ceasing, interceeding for our brothers and sisters in the faith.
