In an unassuming, Bethlehem stable, without the fanfare so characteristic of our modern celebrations, the Savior–God’s Messiah or Christ–was born.
In life, death and resurrection, His purpose couldn’t have been more clear. Yes, He came to bridge the gap between God and humanity.
With gratitude we celebrate not only His birth but also, His final earthly work on the cross that enabled both our forgiveness and the restoration of our personal relationship with our Father God.
In fact, when we receive and embrace this extraordinary gift of His grace, Christ washes the dust and dirt from our souls and we know with certainty that before God our hearts are “whiter” than snow (Isaiah 1:18, I John 1:9).
